Torque Sensors

UNIPULSE torque sensors are devices designed to measure the force or torque applied to a rotating machine element or device. Their primary function is to measure rotational torque — the force exerted around an axis of rotation.

We offer a wide range of models with capacities from 0.05 Nm to 10,000 Nm, including splash-resistant versions. Additionally, we provide various torque monitoring devices such as USB interfaces for PC connection, digital indicators for simultaneous measurement of torque, rotational speed, and power, as well as power and energy monitors for motor testing systems.

Torque Sensors

UTM III

  • torque sensor
  • measuring range: 0.05 Nm to 10,000 Nm
  • maximum rotational speed: 40,000 rpm

  • noise-resistant digital sensor output
  • non-linearity: 0.03% R.O. (Rated Output)
  • 5× more responsive than UTM II – detects torque and output power faster

UTM III (R) (H)

  • torque sensor with encoder
  • measuring range: 0.05 Nm to 10,000 Nm
  • maximum rotational speed: 40,000 rpm
  • high functionality with 1/10,000 resolution
  • safe overload: 500%
  • slimmer body and noise-resistant digital output
  • 5× more responsive than UTM II – faster torque and output power detection
  • available versions:
    • (R) Rotary encoder: max. rotational speed 5,000 rpm
    • (H) High-speed rotary encoder: max. rotational speed 25,000 rpm

UTM III (C) (RC)

  • torque sensor with centering location option
  • measuring range: 0.05 Nm to 10,000 Nm
  • maximum rotational speed: 40,000 rpm
  • high functionality with 1/10,000 resolution
  • safe overload: 500%
  • slimmer body and noise-resistant digital output
  • 5× more responsive than UTM II – faster detection of torque and output power
  • available versions:
    • (C) version without encoder
    • (RC) version with encoder

UTF II - 500 Nm

  • dustproof and waterproof version
  • safe overload: 500%
  • high accuracy: 0,03% FS
  • maximum rotational speed: 25.000 rpm
  • dynamic balance grade: G2.5
  • analog bandwidth: 3 kHz with 20 kHz sampling rate
  • standard pulse RPM output (from 90 to 1080 pulses/rev, configurable via settings)

UTM II / UTM II (R)

  • torque sensor
  • measurement range: 0.05 Nm, 0.1 Nm, 0.2 Nm, 0.5 Nm, 1 Nm, 2 Nm, 5 Nm, 10 Nm, 20 Nm, 50 Nm, 100 Nm, 200 Nm, 500 Nm, 1000 Nm, 2000 Nm, 5000 Nm, 10000 Nm
  • non-linearity: 0.03% FS
  • analog bandwidth: 1 kHz with high sampling frequency of 6 kHz
  • enhanced noise immunity
  • maintenance-free – no slip ring

UTM II (W) / UTM II (WR)

  • torque sensor with square shaft
  • ideal for monitoring the torque of power tools such as screwdrivers
  • measurement ranges: 10 Nm, 20 Nm, 50 Nm, 100 Nm, 500 Nm
  • non-linearity: 0,03% FS
  • available versions:
    • (W): torque monitoring
    • (WR): torque and angle monitoring

UTMV

  • contamination-resistant torque sensor
  • safe overload: 500%
  • measurement ranges: 0,1 N·m, 0,5 N·m, 1 N·m, 5 N·m, 10 N·m, 50 N·m, 100 N·m, 500 N·m, 1000 N·m
  • non-linearity: 0,3% FS
  • analog bandwidth: 1 kHz with high 6 kHz sampling rate
  • protected against rain and seawater, suitable for outdoor use with wind and water turbines, etc.

UCM / UCS / UCD

  • couplings for UTM III, UTM II, UTMV
  • prevent rotational resonance and improve torque measurement accuracy

TM320

  • torque monitor for UTM III, UTM II, UTMV sensors
  • simultaneous display of torque, rotational speed, and power
  • non-linearity: 0.02% FS
  • equipped with UTM III connection data display and comparison function
  • equipped with data storage function (torque, speed, power)
  • high-speed sampling at 16,000 times/sec
  • interfaces: SI/F, BCD OUT (optional), D/A converter (optional), RS-232C (optional), USB (optional)

TM380

  • torque monitor for UTM II, UTMV, and UTM III sensors
  • compatible with rotary encoder option
  • high-speed sampling at 16,000 times/sec
  • non-linearity: 0.02% FS
  • displays torque, rotational speed, and angle
  • equipped with data storage function
  • interfaces: SI/F, BCD OUT (optional), D/A converter (optional), RS-232C (optional), USB (optional)

TC80-CCL

  • torque converter for DIN rail mounting
  • compatible with rotary encoder option for UTM II(R) / UTM III(R); not available for UTMV
  • enables monitoring of torque, rotational speed, and torque-angle curve
  • equipped with data memory function
  • non-linearity: 0.02% FS
  • high-speed sampling at 16,000 times/sec
  • interfaces: CC-Link, RS-485, USB

TC80-D3V

  • torque converter for DIN rail mounting
  • compatible with rotary encoder option for UTM II(R) / UTM III(R); not available for UTMV
  • allows monitoring of torque, rotational speed, and torque-angle curve
  • equipped with data memory function
  • non-linearity: 0.02% FS
  • high-speed sampling at 16,000 times/sec
  • interfaces: D/A converter OUT (3 CH), RS-485, USB

TC80-EIP

  • easy connection to UTM II and UTMV with a single cable
  • graphic and numerical display

TM700

  • torque monitor for UTM II and UTMV sensors
  • monitoring of torque, rotational speed, and power curves
  • high-speed sampling: 20,000 times/sec
  • non-linearity: 0.02% FS
  • easy connection to UTM II and UTMV with a single cable
  • applications: screwdrivers, motor testing benches, mixers, wind power generation, etc.

TM500

  • torque monitor for UTM II and UTMV sensors
  • suitable for low-speed rotary and direct-action applications
  • non-linearity: 0.02% FS
  • data is recorded on an SD card
  • upper and lower displacement limits can be compared against the initial torque
  • easy connection to UTM II and UTMV with a single cable
  • interface: RS-232C

  • suitable for low-speed rotary and direct-action applications
